How to Make Skillet Chicken Fajitas
To make these skillet chicken fajitas, start by thinly slicing two chicken breasts—about one pound total. In a large skillet set over medium-high heat, warm two tablespoons of olive oil and sauté the chicken for 3 to 4 minutes. Season the chicken with a blend of paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, chili powder, salt, and pepper, then continue cooking until the chicken is fully cooked through, about 7 to 10 minutes total.
Once done, transfer the chicken to a bowl and set it aside. In the same skillet, add another teaspoon of olive oil and toss in the sliced green and red bell peppers along with a medium sliced onion. Sauté the vegetables for 3 to 5 minutes, just until they’re tender-crisp.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, stir everything together, and let it heat through for another 2 to 3 minutes. Serve hot in warmed tortillas with your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, guacamole, sour cream, or a splash of hot sauce.

Power, Speed, and a Whole Lot Less Scrubbing
This blog post is sponsored by the Frigidaire Professional Dishwasher—the secret weapon behind my stress-free kitchen routine. While fast, flavorful meals are a must in our house, what really saves the day is a cleanup that doesn’t slow everything down. That’s where this dishwasher shines. With its 30-minute PowerPlus® wash cycle, it tackles a full load in record time, so I can get back to what matters (like actually enjoying dinner).
One of my favorite features? The CleanBoost™ technology. It pre-mixes water and detergent before the wash even starts, making sure every dish gets an ultra-thorough clean—no rewashing, no leftover grime. Even after a fajita night with oily skillets and cheesy serving dishes, everything comes out spotless.
It’s a powerful, professional-grade appliance that fits perfectly into real life—fast-paced, a little messy, and always full of flavor. So go ahead, pile up the dishes. This dishwasher can handle it.
