- 1 pound 90/10 ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork sausage
- 1 medium onion finely diced
- 4 cloves fresh garlic chopped
- 1 green bell pepper diced
- 1 red bell pepper diced
- 1 27-ounce can whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 32-ounce jar marinara sauce
- 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and sausage together in a large pot. Add the diced onion, garlic, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper, cooking until softened.
Set the crockpot to high. While the meat and vegetables cook, add the whole peeled tomatoes, marinara sauce, and tomato sauce to the crockpot. Stir in the onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Once the meat is browned, drain any excess fat if needed. Add the meat and vegetable mixture to the crockpot and stir to combine.
Cover and cook for 6-8 hours on low, stirring occasionally.
Serve over cooked spaghetti noodles.
