There’s a certain magic in recipes that bring everyone to the counter—especially when melted chocolate and colorful candies are involved. This Halloween Candy Pretzel Bark is pure joy in a pan: simple enough for kids to help make, but so good the adults won’t stop snacking either. Sweet and salty, crunchy and creamy, it’s the kind of treat that feels festive for any occasion—from Halloween parties to cozy movie nights. Best of all, there’s no baking, no stress, and every batch turns out a little different, which is half the fun.

A few years ago, my sister came to visit in October, and she brought everything needed to make this Chocolate Candy Pretzel Bark! My kids have loved making it ever since! When October hits and the pumpkin patches open, I think of cider donuts, candy, and treats just like this one. This recipe is great for classroom harvest parties as well!

- Rubber spatula or spoon
- parchment paper
- baking sheet
Ingredients
- 2 10- or 11-ounce bags of chocolate chips milk or dark
- 1 cup white chocolate baking chips
- 1 cup pretzels
- 1 cup M&M candies
- 1 cup candy corn
- 1 1- ounce package of googly sugar eyes
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring after each interval until smooth and glossy.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then pour the melted chocolate over it. Smooth the chocolate evenly to the edges using the back of a spoon or spatula.
- Decorate the chocolate slab with your toppings. Start by placing the googly sugar eyes first, then fill in the rest with pretzels, M&M’s, candy corn, and white chocolate chips for color and crunch.
- Transfer the baking sheet to the fridge to chill until the chocolate hardens—about 25 minutes or more.
- Once firm, break into pieces and serve! Store the bark in an airtight container and enjoy within 3–4 days.
