Sautéed Asparagus with Almonds & Fresh Garlic

Cook time 5 minutes
Serves 4

Ingredients

1 pound Altar asparagus
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 cloves fresh garlic
1/4 cup sliced almonds
Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Wash asparagus. With two hands, bend each asparagus spear towards its base until the woody end snaps off. This is how you prepare asparagus to be enjoyed fresh or cooked!   
  1. Heat a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté fresh asparagus in olive oil 2-3 minutes. 
  1. Move the asparagus to one side of the pan, then add almonds and garlic. Sauté another 2 minutes.  
  1. Season with salt and pepper, then serve!
