Bubbles at Christmas are a must! Then, when you think of adding brandy or cognac and a tart sweet cranberry simple syrup with an herbal punch at the end, you’ve got your self one hell of a French 75. I will admit, while shooting these I may have had to drink the little glasses before refilling them for each shot! I teamed up with QFC to make this sweet recipe, and I’ll be participating in their #CHEERFULCHALLENGE all month long!
Cranberry & Lemon Thyme French 75
makes 2 cocktails
2 cups champagne
1/2 cup cranberry and lemon thyme simple syrup
2 shots brandy
To prepare the simple syrup, simply combine 1 cup fresh cranberries, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, and 3 sprigs of lemon thyme in a medium-sized sauce pan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and simmer until the cranberries begin to fall apart. Pass the syrup through a strainer and set syrup aside to cool.
To assemble the cocktails, distribute the ingredients evenly between the glasses. Enjoy!
